All Saints, Dunsby
Dunsby is a conservation village with approximately 50 dwellings and around 120 residents. The village was once owned by The Charterhouse Foundation, which still maintains connections.
All Saints’ Church, a Grade 1 listed building dating from 1190, became a Festival Church three years ago and no longer holds regular services. However, popular services like Harvest Festival, Remembrance Sunday, and Carols by Candlelight continue to take place.
The church is supported by a full PCC, with one churchwarden and another being inducted. The changing demographic has increased attendance by younger families. The church is well-supported by parishioners who help with cleaning, maintaining, and fundraising.
The village has a choir, The Wednesday Singers, whose concert proceeds often benefit the church. The Village Hall provides an ideal venue for social events. The church has carillon bells and a restored Henry Bevington & Sons pipe organ. The church's finances are in good order, thanks to regular donors.
